It’s a geographic area within which identifies a variety of routes that connect varied and different areas: hills and sea, fortified villages, ancient abbeys, towns and cities, along back roads, dirt or white roads across short parts on provincial road.
The Blue Area includes the famous zone of “Castelli di Jesi” (Jesi’s castles) that were built in the middle ages, villages that have preserved its original city walls with doors, the ramparts and towers to defend countries, in which it’s still showed the original structure of streets and houses.

It’s clear that in this area the gastronomic traditions have a common factor that is the wine production. At the same time it’s also true that each village has local recipes, particular foods and typical agriculture.
In these places the nature predominates on a mostly hilly landscape that slopes down to the Adriatic Sea, and it’s easily to ride with your bike for an exciting itinerary that arrives in Senigallia, a beautiful historic town.
For those who hadn’t yet the opportunity, the cities of Ancona, Senigallia and Jesi worth a visit. They are the three most important cities of our province by population. An alternative way to appreciate them is pedaling through the city center’s streets discovering the most significant buildings.

Blue Area Tours

In the heart of the Wine Verdicchio
The ring tour that we propose to you here develops along low traffic roads and into our hills, where the famous white wine Verdicchio is produced.

Jesi – Cupramontana – Poggio S.Vicino – Pian Dell’Elmo – Elcito – Cingoli – Jesi
Here we propose a ring tour suitable for road bikes for those who want to live emotions and don’t fear climbs. The tour develops along back roads between villages and landscapes, where the healthy air makes these great spots for those who love quiet and natural beauty.

San Marcello – Serra de Conti – Arcevia – Corinaldo – San Marcello
It’s a great experience into luxuriant and flourishing hills and mountains for road bicycle lovers. This journey develops mostly on paved roads with low traffic and characterized by ups and downs. The tour also crosses villages with medieval walls.

Jesi – Monte Roberto – Castelbellino – Maiolati Spontini – Cupramontana – Jesi
Starting from Jesi, we’ll cycle around one of the most characteristic Vallesina’s area, so-called “Jesi’s castles”, most of which have preserved a typical unchanged medieval look, characterized by narrow streets and alleys.

Morro D’Alba – San Marcello – Morro D’Alba
We start from the Morro D’Alba’s city centre cycling along an interesting ring route that shows off hills full of vineyards, where the DOC red wine “lacrima di Morro D’Alba” is produced.

San Marcello – Ostra – Belvedere Ostrense – San Marcello
This ring route for mountain bikes starts at the village of San Marcello, placed on the highest hill to the left of the Esino River. From here we’ll cycle on a hilly ground with an interesting landscape, going through unpaved roads up and down along hills.
